Continuing Care During Maternity Leave

Providing continued support while prioritizing this special season with my family.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page. I wanted to create one place where you can easily find everything you need to know about receiving sessions during my maternity leave.

Beginning in August, live Zoom and phone sessions will be temporarily paused while I welcome our baby girl and focus on postpartum recovery.

During this season, I'll continue providing individualized remote sessions through a Temporary Continuing Care System designed to support clients while also prioritizing my family. While the delivery method is temporarily different, the quality and individualized care of each session will remain the same.

Remote sessions will continue to be individually tailored, prayerfully led, and provide the same quality of care you've come to expect.

What to Expect

Here's an overview of how sessions will transition during my maternity leave.

You'll receive emails and reminders throughout this transition, so you'll always know what comes next.

Through July

Live Zoom and phone sessions continue as normal.

Beginning in August

Live sessions are temporarily paused while I welcome our baby girl and focus on postpartum recovery.

After the first several weeks postpartum

Individualized remote sessions gradually begin through the Temporary Continuing Care System.

Returning to Live Sessions

Live Zoom and phone sessions are expected to resume around December.

How Continuing Care Works During Maternity Leave

The Temporary Continuing Care System is a process created specifically for my maternity leave. Rather than scheduling live Zoom or phone appointments, remote sessions are completed in small rounds as I gradually return to work. This allows me to continue supporting clients while remaining flexible during this special season with my family.

  1. Join the Continuing Care Queue

Submit the Continuing Care Request Form to request continued support during maternity leave.

  2. You’re added to the Upcoming Round

As space becomes available and it’s time for your next session, you'll receive an email and a Practice Better message letting you know you've been added to the upcoming round of sessions.

Rounds will be completed every 1-2 weeks.

  3. Complete your Check-In Form

A Check-In Form will automatically be sent through Practice Better. Completing it within 48 hours is encouraged, as it gives me updated information before your session. If you don't complete it, I'll still complete your session, focusing on what I feel is the highest priority for your body.

  4. Your remote session is completed

Remote sessions are typically completed within 1–2 weeks after the current round begins. Once your session is complete, you'll receive your session notes just as you normally would.

  5. Continue your care

If you've chosen Auto Continue, you'll remain on the Active Continuing Care Queue throughout maternity leave. If not, you can simply submit another Continuing Care Request Form whenever you are ready to receive another remote session during maternity leave.

Throughout maternity leave, you'll continue receiving emails and reminders, so you'll always know what comes next.

Active Package Guide

If you currently have sessions remaining in an active package, you're already in the best position to continue receiving care throughout maternity leave.

What Happens Next

As your next session becomes due, I'll automatically add you to one of my upcoming session rounds. You don't need to submit a Continuing Care Request Form.

When it's time for your session, you'll receive:

  • An email and Practice Better message letting you know your session is coming up.

  • A Check-In Form where you can share any updates before your session.

  • Your session notes, just as you normally would, after your session is finished.

When Your Package Ends

Once all of your package sessions have been completed, you'll simply transition to whichever option you'd like next:

  • Purchase another package and continue through the Temporary Continuing Care System.

  • Continue as a pay-per-session client by submitting a Continuing Care Request Form whenever you'd like another session.

Both options remain available throughout maternity leave.

Pay-Per Session Guide

If you do not currently have an active package, you can continue receiving remote sessions during maternity leave on a pay-per-session basis, whether you receive sessions regularly or only as needed.

Getting Started

To request continued care, submit the Continuing Care Request Form and join the Continuing Care Queue.

Once your request is received, you’ll remain in the queue until it’s time for your next session. You’ll receive an email and Practice Better message when you’ve been added to an upcoming round.

Choose How You’d Like to Continue

The Continuing Care Request Form gives you two ways to receive care during maternity leave:

Option 1 - Auto Continue

Choose Auto Continue if you’d like to remain in the Active Continuing Care Queue after each completed session.

You won't need to submit another Continuing Care Request Form after every session.

Instead, when it's time for your next session, you'll simply continue through the Temporary Continuing Care System and be added to one of my upcoming session rounds.

You can pause or remove yourself from the queue at any time.

Option 2 - Request Sessions as Needed

Choose this option if you’d rather decide individually when you want another session.

After your session is completed, your request will be closed.

Whenever you’re ready for additional support, simply submit another Continuing Care Request Form.

Payment

Your payment method on file will be charged after your remote session has been completed.

Considering a Package?

Both pay-per-session clients and package clients can continue receiving ongoing support during maternity leave.

If you anticipate receiving several sessions during maternity leave, you may also wish to explore package options for added convenience and savings.

Ready to Continue?

Ready to continue receiving care during maternity leave?

Submit the Continuing Care Request Form to request your next session and choose whether you'd like to continue automatically or submit future requests as needed.

New Client Guide

If we've never worked together before, you're still welcome to begin working with me during maternity leave through individualized remote sessions.

The Temporary Continuing Care System allows new clients to begin care while giving me the flexibility to gradually return to work after welcoming my baby.

During maternity leave, all new client sessions are completed remotely rather than through live Zoom or phone appointments.

Step 1: Join the Continuing Care Queue

Submit the Continuing Care Request Form to let me know you'd like to begin working together during maternity leave.

Once your request has been received, I’ll begin your new client onboarding process.

As I gradually return to work during maternity leave, it may take a few days for you to receive your onboarding materials. Thank you for your patience. I look forward to working with you.

Step 2: Complete Your New Client Onboarding

Shortly after submitting your Continuing Care Request Form, you'll receive everything you need to prepare for your first session.

You'll receive:

  • An email to activate your Practice Better account.

  • A New Client Intake Form.

  • A required form containing two short videos to watch before your session.

  • Your invoice.

Step 3: Complete Everything for Your First Session

Before your first session can be completed, please:

  • Activate your Practice Better account.

  • Complete your New Client Intake Form.

  • Watch both required videos.

  • Pay your invoice.

Once everything has been completed, you'll be added to an upcoming session round for your first remote session.

Step 4: After Your First Session

Once your first session has been completed, your session notes will be available in Practice Better. You'll receive an email notification, and if you have the Practice Better app installed, you'll also receive an app notification when they're ready.

After your first session has been completed, your future care will continue based on the option you selected on your Continuing Care Request Form.

  • Continue Automatically – You'll remain in the Continuing Care Queue, so you won't need to submit another Continuing Care Request Form after each session.

  • Request Sessions as Needed – Once your session has been completed, your request will be closed. Whenever you'd like another remote session, simply submit a new Continuing Care Request Form.

Ready to Begin?

Submit the Continuing Care Request Form to request your first remote session and begin working together during maternity leave.
